Borba, Vinho Regional, Alentejo, Portugal

Blend:

100% Alicante Bouschet.

Alcohol:

13.5% vol.

Winemaking:

Crafted from the oldest parcel of the State with vines over 60 years old, grown on poor schist soil. Fermented with wild yeast, matured for 24 months in used French oak barrels. Unfiltered.

Tasting Notes:

Saturated purple red. Revealing a delicate and complex bouquet of violets, red fruit, plums, crushed stones, smoke, bacon. Medium bodied with a firm and compact structure of solid, finely grained tannins, juicy red fruit extract, beautiful minerality, cool mouthfeel with a refreshing impression.

Service and Pairing:

Serve with 14 – 17°C, drink it alone or with red meat, poultry dishes, quiche au    legumes, cheese platters.  Drink from 2024 on to 2039. Store below 15°C.
