Achieving a stature of a cult brand through constant efforts in improving wine quality besides working towards a production of organic wine.
Evoking unforgettable moments of pure emotion with Quinta do Zambujeiro wines, both in lovers and connoisseurs.
Quinta do Zambujeiro was founded in 1999 and has since achieved an excellent reputation over the years, both nationally and internationally, as one of Portugal’s most prestigious and characterful wine producers, being approached as a cult brand through continuous efforts to improve wine quality standards.
Located in Rio de Moinhos, in the municipality of Borba, it is in the northern Alentejo region, in the heart of the Serra D’Ossa, making the most of its height and microclimate to produce high quality wines.
The basis of Zambujeiro’s wines is a combination of conventional and organic farming practices that use no herbicides and protect the soil with natural crops during the wet winter season.
Our wines are almost organic, as are our processes in the winery, although sometimes we have to use synthetic products, such as organic matter.
We strive to create extraordinary wines that have individuality and charisma, which can’t be produced on a large scale, because we work with our vineyards in low production, so that we have wines with maximum concentration of flavour and fruit, which allows us to have wines with enormous longevity in the bottle.
We work in accordance with environmentally friendly processes, with the aim of preserving and protecting nature, the landscape and the estate’s land, because the basis of our wine is the vineyard.
To this end, we have chosen to have vineyards with small yields so that we can have wines that are highly concentrated in aroma and flavour.
These are consensus wines that appeal to different types of consumers, which is why we are present in markets as diverse as Switzerland, Germany and Brazil, among others.
