50% Touriga Nacional, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot

Winemaking:

Hand harvested from the oldest vineyards of the estate. Hand sorted on conveyor
belts. Fermented in small oak vats and steel tanks. Matured for 36 months in mostly used French oak barrels. Unfiltered, unfined.

Tasting Notes:

A special selection of the best lots of the vintage. Only produced in very small quantities and in the best years. Profoundly complex in the bouquet, notes of dry flowers, black tea, cedar wood, coal. Big and dense in structure, loads of black fruitextract, tight and still dusty tannins balanced by a creamy mouthfeel, well supported by a fresh acidity, an everlasting fruit impression on the  palate. A mythical approach to the scents and tastes of the wild and rugged lands of the Alentejo.

Service and Pairing:

Serve with 14 – 17°C, decant when young, drink it alone, but goes well with all meat dishes, fine Italian pasta dishes, mature cheese. Drink from 2023 on to 2043. Store  below 15°C.
